Art by Johan Roos

This is a brag post. I have reason to brag because I have a very talented artist in my husband. I thought I would share some of his latest work here.

And this last one, a slab of granite that he worked on for over a month. It is stunning.

He has also done a couple on comission for friends and family as well as a really large piece that we have in our living room. I will have to come back with that one as it is my all time favourite out of his work.

Working hard

Hey everyone! Don't think I am ignoring the blog, I am hard at work going through the 1000+ photos from our trip so that I can start scrapping them and hopefully make a book of the pages. I am thinking of using Shutterfly for it. I have used their services before, and with great satisfaction, but never for a scrapbook. If you have not checked them out before then do so. They ship worldwide so even if you're not in the US you are good to go.

I have a couple of projects that I've done ready to upload and post so I will try to get to that in the coming days.

I will be back again soon with pictures to get things all pretty and fun around here again! Until then, take care!

Greeting cards and a Woopteedoo

Seeing as I can't do anything creative with my computer at the moment, and as I had some of my papers and things out after making my sister's engagement card, I thought I'd pass some time (ok, so I've been sitting at our coffee table watching telly at the same time) making a few cards. I had a lot of scraps from some really cool scrapbook papers I've used lately that were ideal for making cards. I have finished two and am also currently working on a miniature accordion fold book.

Today I ordered a new computer! I give thanks and love to my husband for being understanding and agreeing to not wait any longer. The little baby will arrive later this week, on Friday at the latest. I will be back in the express lane again (and yeah, haven't been there for over four years lol). As most of you probably understand I am utterly excited.

Engagement card + back from holiday

Hey everyone! I am back in the land in the north. We've had a wonderful time in the beautiful country of Italia. The camera has been fixed to my face the whole time and I have somewhere around 1000-1200 pictures back with me. Pretty cool. Unfortunately my computer has decided to die a slow and painful death which means that even thinking about doing any kind of editing is out of the question. So the big plans I had of scrapping an album of our trip will have to wait until I have a new computer. Hopefully we can manage that by the end of the month.

But now on to more happy things; my lovely sister and her boyfriend got engaged the day before we left for Italy. Naturally we had to celebrate so yesterday we all got together at my mum's house for a small party. I made them this card to go with the present.
(I was able to play a little with one photo before the compy decided to shut down on me)

So, great to be back, but sad that I can't get back to working, I think I will have to cruise the net for some ideas for my travel album until I can actually get cracking on it.

Thanks to everyone who has been so sweet to comment on the blog while I have been away. Love you lots! Mwah!
