of summer and roses

As the rain/snow is falling outside of my window, I find myself longing for summer with its warmth, its aroma, and its colour. I long for blue skies and ballet flats. I long for sweet raspberries and warm nights. I long for ice cream and pink roses.

How about you?

  1. Hi Linda.....you make me laugh with this post. Living in the southern hemisphere (Australia) it is totally the opposite for me this time of year. With sweltering summer heat I long for the cold of winter, although it doesn't get THAT cold here. So this year I am escaping this oppressive heat (day after day of low 30'sC) and jetting off to France in a couple of weeks where I will be knee deep in that lovely white stuff - snow! Can't wait!

  2. ;) While I do think I was born in the wrong part of the world - southern parts of Europe would do fine - I have to say that snowy alps in France is a heck of a lot better than rain and wind in southern Sweden. I do think we have the worst winters here, LOL!

Have a great time in France!
