project life | week of march 31

I am so into spring right now! I am craving warmth and sunshine, pretty flowers and walks in the park, change and growth. I think it shows in my Project Life spread this week as well!

So I knew I wanted to use a card from the new Azure Kit; the circle card on the bottom of left page. I loved the soft pastels and the overlapping circles. But I felt that most of the other cards in the Azure Kit were too strong to match both that one card and my photos for the week. What to do?

Well, here is where the magic of digital scrapbooking comes in! You change colours to make it work! With digital you don't have to cry over things not being absolutely right, and spend $$$ to get something else that might work better. With digital you have the power to make it work for you! I really could not find a better reason for doing this digitally vs. "regular old paper".

On the top card of the right page I lightened the colours of the circles, by using a simple levels adjustment layer, and changed the text to white by selecting the text and filling it with white. Easy peasy! This way, the card ties perfectly to that other one on my left page. From there it was easy for me to match with a few other cards from the Dear Lizzy Daydreamer kit. Isn't that balloon card just lovely?

So with crossing into April this week, I have just another four months to go until I've completed a full year of Project Life. Amazing. One thing is for sure; I cannot wait to get this book printed!
