new in store | Kickin' It

Yay! Time for the next two parts of the Kickin' It collection. I was inspired for a while there when I designed this collection, and cooked up a whole new paper pack as well as an alpha set.

I really want to stress that the papers, elements, and alpha of this collection works really well even if you don't have football/soccer stories to tell of photographs to scrap. Out of the 24 papers in the two packs, only four have patterns that are very much related to football/soccer.

baby alphabet poster

A year ago I created alphabet posters for our godson and for our friends' daughter, and I knew I wanted to make one for my nephew as well. His first birthday (celebrated this weekend) was the perfect opportunity. I really like this idea. It's a custom version of a great tradition for nursery or playroom, and I just know it will be cherished forever. I also really like the combination of fonts. :)

New in store - Tabbed alpha

This week I am debuting a really cool alpha that I've had in the works for a while. I like alphas. I think they offer a world of opportunities, versatility, and variety for titles and for adding little personal touches.

This alpha is a little grungy, a little roughed up, and pretty cool with the tab shape and the stamped letters. I think this alpha could add a cool edgy look to your layouts and projects.

If you, for example, buy this alpha set you can get something else from the shop that is the same price or less for free. Just add the items to your cart and the price will be deducted automatically. Now that is a deal too good to pass up!

About a book

I briefly mentioned in my P52 photo the other week that the photo of the book with the heart shaped pages was Mistral's Daughter. Well, I felt I needed to scrap the  photo and the story behind it. Here is the result.

Journaling:
My absolute most favourite book of all as a teenager was Mistral’s Daughter and I think I read it at least 25 times through the years. I had a passage marked that I would read when I felt down or sad and I needed to believe in love again. The words were so very cheesy but to a teenage girl it was exactly what love was all about. Time stood still when I would read this book and I can still to this day miss that excitement and hope for adulthood and love that I felt back then.

Spraground challenge and a new layout

This week is my turn to host the Spraground challenge (Liv Esteban and I share the "burden" with our girl Kari Holt and the occasional guest host). With Christmas on my brain I had to make the challenge about just that. If you're up for it, come on over and join us!

I created a layout for the challenge:

Apart from the stitches, which are by Anna Aspnes, it's all my designs but you can see full credits here.

Alphabet posters

For the christening of our nephew, and our friends' little girl - they were both christened at the same time in the same church - I created two posters inspired by this post in general and this creation in particular.

I am so happy with the outcome. I love the fonts I used and that they are personalized for each baby. I really do hope they will bring joy for years to come for these two kids.

Elias

Linnea

I used my Glassy alpha and my pearl buttons from the Make a Splash Elements set as well as an onslaught of fonts and brushes. If you have questions about a certain one, please contact me.

I had them printed with Crimson.se and was so pleased their service and prices as well as the quality of the print. The upload process was really user friendly and they offered a lot of "extras" for those without an editing software. They had lots of different size options to choose from. I had both posters delivered in two days (ordered them at different times). Everything is printed on Fuji Chrystal Archive Supreme paper. I will defenitely use their services again.
