laying it out | my life

I really like to scrap about the everyday kind of stuff in my life, and how I feel about it. I have talked before about the fact that my life is very repetative with work, house, food, sleep. So scrapping special events would for me mean that about four layouts would get done every year. Ha! Doing it this way means that I get a recording of what was on my mind at one particular time in my life.
I like that.

So with that, I'm sharing with you two more layouts about me and my life.

laying it out | back in the saddle again

I am really enjoying digi scrapping again, after two or so years of minimal amounts of layouts. I'm not going to cry over spilled milk, because I did other lovely things instead, but let me just say that I'm glad I found the inspiration for it again.

I loved this shot of Michael Bublé from his concert in Stockholm. He is such a dreamboat.

I used to be an avid reader. Like, reading three books in a weekend kind of avid reader. In the last couple of years, basically since I started by current job, my brain is usually far to mushy when I come home in the evenings to be able to concentrate on anything and so I read perhaps four or five books a year. I decided to change that this summer and made a list of books I really want to read before the end of September. With being able to listen to audio books on my way to work (I am telling myself that counts as reading) I really do think I can make it.

laying it out | breathe

I decided to give myself a challenge and do a more romantic style layout than what is usually my style. Nancie Rowe Janitz´ collaboration with Reverie Atelier was the perfect kit for this, and I think the outcome is pretty decent.

laying it out | the boy

The text of this layout is a song by Swedish group Kent. It was sung at the christening of my little nephew. It's about the kind of unconditional love that takes your breath away.

laying it out | twofer

I've got two new layouts to share - yes, I am on a scrapping roll as of late - and I am so proud of them. It's been a long time since I felt this inspired and jazzed about scrapping.

This first one deals with my emotions when we first watched the film UP and what it made me realize about myself and life. Heavy stuff. But still, important I think.

Supplies: Note to Self full kit by Echo Park, Stitched by Anna White 3 and Simple Torn Edge 3 by Anna Aspnes, Staples by Vinnie Pearce, Century Gothic font

This one was inspired by the Instagram shot of the stop button on the bus that I ride to work every day. I detest taking the bus, especially since it takes a large chunk out of my day but I detest getting up in the morning even more so riding with the husband is out of the question. But I felt I wanted to document it somehow.

laying it out | jackpot

Can you believe it? I have actually created three layouts in the last week. I hardly can. Now, let's not get ahead of ourselves and think this will be kept up for any lenght of time, I see little time to sit undisturbed in the next coming weeks. But why not celebrate the small things, people?

This layout was inspired by an awesome layout I happened to come across out and about in the interwebs; "If I had a million dollars" by KimR+ .
Here is my take:

laying it out | a minute at a time

I am just so in love with this photo. Not that it's a master piece by any means at all. But for what it represents; tiny little moments of refreshing and finding my center. Far away from computers, emails, to-do lists, deadlines, stress, and burning eyes and neck. I love how powerful even a short moment in the cold wind can become when you think about it.

laying it out | fave telly

I have been meaning to do this page for ages. Somehow I just never got round to it. I am going to blame it on time getting away from me, even if we all know that it's all due to me being a scatter brain. Hee!

Anyway, I have come to the conclusion that I have a very eclectic taste when it comes to tv, to say the least. I guess experts would have a field day trying to analyze me from this. I am quite popular with the husband, at least, as he doesn't have to suffer through girly shows he hates.
