Birthday party invite

My husband had a birthday last week and we decided, at a very late hour, to have a birthday dinner party for our parents and siblings this coming weekend. I quickly whipped up a little invite and sent it out at the beginning of the week.

I wanted to do classic, sleek, simple so I chose to go with brown and white. I used a paper from my La Storia paper pack and a beautiful image of a pumpkin. The dotted border adds that little extra without overpowering the white space of the design.

I printed it on highly textured cardstock and it came out looking quite fabulous. I wish I had a letterpress in the back of my house but alas I had to make do with the Epson printer.

Oh, and did you know that I have a new brush set in the shop? It was released yesterday for One Buck Wednesday but even if you missed the super low price yesterday you can still pick it up!

OK, so I've got a deadline to meet and a bed to hit, see you soon again, hopefully with party pics and P52 photos!

Shop news

I have added a commercial license option to  my products in my shop at JessicaSprague.com.
I was getting quite a few requests for this and was finally able to work the details out with our dear site admin Laurie. She takes such good care of us, I tell you!

I have been forthcoming and added a link to my Terms of Use to every product page should anyone want to read it before purchasing the commercial license.  Please do note that the commercial use does not apply to digital scrapbook designers who want to find designs to use and sell as their own!

In other news I was hit by another major cold so I might be out of comission for a few days or so. Take care of yourselves people.

New in store - La Storia

I said last week when I posted my front page for the book I have started that I used new products. They went live today in my shop at JessicaSprague.com. Yay!

La Storia Paper Pack
La Storia

This paper pack was inspired by the beauty of an old Italian castle where the splendor and luxury has been aged and distressed with time but has still remained intact. The pack features gorgeous damask patterns and amazing texture. There are twelve 12x12 papers in the pack in beautiful muted colours.

La Storia Elements Pack
La Storia
(Click on the images to go directly to the product in the shop)

Designed to compliment the La Storia Paper Pack this set of elements adds the perfect touch of beautiful sophistication with a twist of distress and grunge.

The pack includes:
1 worn paper, slightly smaller than 12x12 (Not pictured in the preview)
1 text rubon
1 swirl rubon
1 scroll border
3 frames
2 labels
2 butterflies
6 wordart
1 ribbon

Here is some beautiful inspiration using the La Storia packs:

Erin made a beautiful hybrid page about herself.

Jenn made this striking layout

And you've seen my layout already (that's the paper included in the elements pack that isn't included in the preview).

There will be more layouts from me using these packs as I am going to try and use them throughout the book.

Giveaway winners!

Alright people, it's time for some excitement as we reveal the winners of the giveaway of two CGs worth $5 in my shop.

First, let's start with the comment drawing. But first, let me thank those of you who shared your inspirations with me. I always love to hear about inspirations as it's such a big part of my own creative life.

Now, there were nine comments, and random.org got to help out with picking the winner:

So, counting down from the top, the fourth comment is by Jeanne!
"ah, but you are lovely! And as you know, my husband inspires me. But otherwise it is my itch to leave a legacy for my daughter through photos and scrapping. To leave her a connection with the past, including her own."

Lovely comment Jeanne. Thank you for sharing!

Then let's carry on with the followers drawing.
There are currently 54 followers, and once again I turned to random.org for some help

And number 15 going in alphabetical order the winner is FABY Cuello!

Congratulations to the both of you!
Shoot me an email by clicking the letter icon on the right hand side and I will send you the GC codes.

Thank you for participating guys! Look forward to more giveaways in the near future!

Now I'm off to nurse my really, really, really bad cold. I will no doubt be back when I feel better. Love!

It's a giveaway!

Like I said the other day, hitting 400 posts needs to be celebrated. And what better way to do that than to have a giveaway? Yeah, no better!

So, here's the deal: I have two beautiful and shiny gift certificates to my shop over at JessicaSprague.com to give away. Each one is worth $5. If you would like to get your little hands on one you can
1: Become a follower of this blog (just check the right hand side)
or
2. Make a comment to this post

Now, I'm not wanting just any old comment telling me how lovely I am (although that would be nice too). No, I'm making it a little harder on you guys. I'd like to know what inspires you in your life. If you are a scrapper, what makes those little scrappin' fingers itch? If you are a photographer, what brings out the focus in you? If you devote yourself to something else - whatever it may be - what gets you motivated? Spill the beans why don't you?!

So I will be drawing one lucky person from my list of followers and one winner from the comments. If you do both, your chances of winning automatically doubles. Who doesn't like those odds, huh?

You have until Tuesday to become a follower and comment. Winners will be announced on Wednesday!

Bonne chance, and happy weekend everyone!

New product in store - Be Berry

I have a new paper pack going live over in my store at JessicaSprague.com today. It's a paper pack with a colour scheme in pinks and creams. I am so in love with the colours in this paper pack that I could eat it all up! Could be the reason I decided to name it Be Berry! :D

This paper pack is a tribute to sweet summer berries and fruits. Like delicious treats from nature these papers have the colours of sweet berries warmed by the sun. Use these papers for a sweet, warm, and soft touch to your layouts and projects.

There are eight coordinating 12x12 papers in the pack. There are four solid and four patterned papers included in the pack. All the papers are beautifully textured.

New products in store, Tricolor

Today I have two new products live in my shop at JessicaSprague.com. I think at least some of you Americans will love this one as it's just in time for your big day on Sunday. Even if you happen to live elsewhere, I think there will be some great stuff in there for you as well. :)

The first product is a paper pack caller Tricolor (heh)

The other product is a matching elements pack
Tricolor
(Click on the image to go directly to the product)

The paper pack includes 12 papers with a vintage red, white, and blue theme. Some of the papers have a traditional stars pattern, but I also made sure to include some non themed beautiful patterns as well as some solids.

The elements pack carries the vintage feel through and contains 25 items: 2 starry rubons (in colour and white), 2 wordart, 3 stitched flagtags (one of which is without drop shadow), 1 journaling card, 2 paper flowers, 10 numbered round tags (0-9) and 1 round tag with a star, 1 stacked paper cutout, 2 .png rubons, and 1 brush set with four brushes.

I have to admit, I am in love with the look of this stuff! I've had this urge to print everything out and cover my house with it all week. Hee!

Now, I also want to share with you some gorgeous stuff that our fabulous creative team have done with the kits.
