A birthday party with new products, a giveaway, and some FB action

That's right! It's been a year since that completely nerve wracking and life changing day when I officially joined the ranks of designers at JessicaSprague.com! One year! Can you believe it? I hardly can. It's been a whirlwind of a year with so many amazing experiences. I have learned so many things about the design biz, people around me, and most of all myself that I am sure would have never known otherwiese.

It's been demanding and humbling to learn how much work it takes, and about the never ending things to learn about graphic design, colour, and digital scrapbooking. I have been amazed, awed, and deeply touched by the beautiful creations of all the lovely people who have used my designs.

So what better way to say thank you, and to pat myself on the back for daring to take a leap of faith, than to party? Heck yeah!

I've got several goodies lined up for you today! Let's start off with new products in the shop! I have not one, not two, but three new products available in my shop today. Heck yeah!

Meet&Greet

Meet&Greet

Meet&Greet

This series of packs is all about me going back to my roots. I think I have shared a few snippets about being in a creative slump for a while? I needed to go back to the stuff that I really love to find a glimpse of it again. First, the colours! Blues, browns, tans; they are all my favourites. They make me feel calm and serene, refreshed and warmed at the same time. Also, I think they are just plain pretty. Then, greeting cards, invitations, card making; that's what started me on this whole journey to begin with all those years ago. So this whole series is devoted to my first loves. There is one more part of the series coming next week (a card templates pack, but ssssccchhh don't tell anyone). I hope you will love them all as much as I do. Meet & Greet is available, surprise surprise, today!

And what would a birthday party be without a giveaway? Why nothing I tell you. So guess what, we're having a giveaway! Heck yeah!
One lucky dog will win all of the above packs. Heck yeah! All you have to do is reply to this post and tell me what you would like to use them for. Please post on Wednesday at the latest for a chance to win. The winner will be announced on Thursday.

But what about everyone else, you ask? Don't worry loves. I've got your backs too! Heck yeah!
Head over to my facebook page, click the like button (if you haven't already), and check out the action on the wall. I don't think you will be disappointed! But don't wait, you've only got three days to get in on the action.
Important edit: I am sorry for the confusion! With action I meant stuff going on, not Photoshop actions per se. I am sorry if you got all excited and were deeply disappointed because of my inability to communicate correctly! All I have to say for myself is that I am Swedish after all!

Alright my loves, time for some cake! Go ahead and have one you too on my behalf!

Also, there's more good stuff coming next week so don't be a stranger, alright?! ;)

Back to P365 freebie set

Remember the freebie series I put up at the beginning of the year for P365? In this series I offered 12 .psd templates including wordart for each week of each moth. Well, I only got up to April and said I would come back to the rest a little later. And a little grew into a lot. I am ashamed to say that I left it far too long and I am sorry to all of you who have been waiting for the rest of the wordart. My deepest apologies.

So now it's finally completed and you can download it here.

I was a bit lazy and could not be bothered to look up which months that had a fith week with more than three days in it, so I went the easy route and did five weeks for each month from April to December. LOL, a girl has to be smart about her time.

OK, so enjoy!

Love song word art freebie

After creating the Sappy Love Songs word art set last week I wanted to do something with one of my very favourite songs in the whole wide world; Michael Bublé's "Lost". This song does something to me every time. It gives me a feeling of serenity and peace and it feels like his velvety voice caresses me.

So what better than to put it up here for you to enjoy a little as well?

Valentine's word art freebie

I had a request the other week to modify the word art that was featured in the Valentine's card. I said it would be up during the weekend but due to unforseen life changing events I didn't get the chance. But a promise is a promise so here it is.

Download it by click right here!
Please read and follow the TOU. This download is for personal use only.

The block letters, in the PNG file, have a lower opacity so don't pay too much attention to the washed out look of the jpeg. :D

I was asked to make another painting for my coworker, and one for another coworker so I am going to try to get that started this week. I also have a few really big things to get sorted so this means I might not be here too much for the rest of the week. Don't miss me too much! :D

Super cute P52

We are moving into our third month of crazy winter weather with lots of snow and today we finally did something more than just shovel it around and off the driveway. We went with my husband's brother and his family to a hill not far from our house and played in the snow, sliding down the hill, and then ended the outing with hot dogs and hot cocoa. I shot this of my nephew right there in the snow.

I am almost caught up with everything I set out to do a week ago. I still have the wordart for the P365 templates to put up. It will come soon, I promise.

I got a question about a different version of the wordart in the Valentine's card and I will try to get that done in the coming week  as well.

Oh, and I have also had a few questions about the scripty font of my recent wordarts. It's a font called Satisfaction. I purchaced it from My Fonts.  Just beware of that website though, you will want to spend way more money than can be considered reasonable. LOL!

Framed art for the office

A little while ago I decided to spruce up one of the office walls a little with some home made art. The colours in that room are grey, silver, and red and I have somewhat of a theme going with circles (and dots) and letters (with an emphazis on R). So I made two pieces in red and framed them in silver frames. I haven't gotten round to hanging them yet - seriously need to get the drill out this week - but today I propped them up on a picture shelf to at least take some photos of them.

The first one I made all by my self by putting together red dots in different sizes into the letter R. I am so in love with how this came out. The funny thing is that the other day I saw a snippet of a rerun of an Oprah episode and there was a logo of her O that consisted of dots in different colours. I swear I made mine before I saw that though! ;)
Photobucket

The second piece I made is of the Swedish alphabet in different fonts, with a few numbers and a snowflake at the end, just for good measure. I am thinking about redoing this. I am not 100% in love with it. But yeah, it will do for now.

I have a bunch of things to catch up on; I know I promised the wordart last week, two P52 photos, and also some ideas for Valentine's that I wanted to share with you, as well as a mini tutorial for my way of doing a photo wall, but I am putting in a lot of overtime at work at the moment, so please have some patience with me. :D

Happiness freebie

There really hasn't been a lot of freebies around here lately, has there? Well, time to redeem myself here a little bit.

I was watching this programme on telly about fabulously designed houses in the UK and saw something really nice. On one of the living room windows of a particular house a saying was etched. It was in Latin but I really loved it and knew immediately that I had found the saying I have been looking for since the dawn of time, well not really but for a while at least, for the office.

It said happiness lives here.

Isn't it fabulous?

So I had to sit down and give it a try and see if I could find a design that would work. And I did. And then I decided to share it here as a word art freebie. So here it is.

Photobucket

You can click here to get to 4shared and download it if you like it.
The download includes both a png and an abr brush. Please do read and follow the TOU, give me a shout when you download, and I would love to see what you do with it too, so don't hesitate to link me up.

I, at least, am overly excited at the prospect of having it on my wall. There is the small detail of informing the husband of my plans, of course. But really, what choice does he have but to love it?
While I was at it I also created som other art for the office. I promise I will come back with pictures when I have them.

Now I'm off to see what photo I want to use for my Project 52 shot this week. Until later!

Freebies are love!

You guessed it folks! I love freebies. And what better way to celebrate that than to share some with y'all. As icing on the cake the topic is love, just in time for Valentine's.

I created a set of five word art in as many different styles so hopefully there is something that will catch your eye. They come neatly packaged in a PNG file for easy use.
