Today I released a new product in my shop at It's a template and Quick Page combo called A Wonderful Day.

The template includes glass bead embellishments and a full upper and lower case alpha set. The quick page features the same glass beads, a circles accent brush, a beautiful textured paper with a torn edge.

Here's my sample of the quick page.

The lovely CT ladies have created some beautiful layouts with the template.
Monica Lifferth did this one:

Galna Kocken is blogging!

My husband, the chef, has started a new blog. Long time coming! We talked about this last year and had this idea that he would cook and I would shoot and then he would blog about it. Well, that kind of fell through but now he finally decided to go for it.

He will take photos of his food and then every now and then talk about food and drinks, and perhaps kitchen gadgets. He is planning to blog in Swedish but anyone can check out the pics and be inspired.

He calls himself Galna Kocken - the Crazy Chef. Check him out!

Photo dump (including P52)

Yesterday I took a walk around our neighbourhood to enjoy the lovely weather and to get away from the computer for a while. I desperately needed a breather and this walk did the trick!

Just a few minutes away from our house there is a nursery and they always have the loveliest flowers in their garden. They usually keep to a theme and the impact is impressive. Right now it's blue and purple pansies everywhere. Here's one corner of the garden.

On my way back I caught a glimpse of an old flower pot in someone's garden and it intrigued me. It was broken but I still thought it was beautiful.

And then I saw an old tree that was hit by lightning and liked the structure of the bark.

Today's high point was sitting outside, reading magazines and drinking chai latte while waiting for the washing machine to finish its cycle.

Yes, I read MSW. Yes, I have been married since 2001. Yes, it's my favourite mag in the world. :D

And then to this week's P52. I took it yesterday while on my walk. The cherry blossoms are almost about to burst. I think I will come back again next week and see the difference.

I'll be back tomorrow with a new product and some inspiration layouts by the CT. Have a nice remainder of this glorious Sunday.

Project 52+

I think I am finally getting back to being excited about photography again. I have just been blah about it for a while.

#15, 2010
This week's P52 photo was taken yesterday when my brother in law and our nephew came over to have dinner and watch football. There was a whole arsenal of "Cars" displayed on the back of our sofa. Very cute.

Today we went shopping for some new lavendar, remember last year's died during the winter, some herbs and perhaps also some tomato plants. We came home with none of that. Go figure. But we did get some flowers for the porch. I think it turned out quite lovely.

Project 52 and more

So tonight I was going to put together my P52 stuff and I checked the camera. This week there were three, I'm not kidding, three photos. Wow, I am slipping. I really need to get a grip on my photography. Sheesh!

So, there was this photo from last weekend, lunch with the husband. It was delish!

Then there was this that I took while the husband fixed his dinner today.

And then this week's P52 photo. I planted allium bulbs in October and they are starting to come up. So excited about that. Just ignore the dead plant behind it though, lol. Our butterfly lavendar plants didn't make it through the harsh winter.

New products in the store

I said the other day that I would have not one but two new products up in the store today. And guess what: I do!

The first product is a template set with twelve coordinating templates that will make a beautiful album if used together.
CT search

The second one is a sticker set with nine grungy and textured stickers and as a bonus I threw in the same designes in the shape of masks with a die cut effect.

I hope you like them!

Oh, and don't forget about the CT search! If you like the designs of me and my fellow designers and you are looking for a CT spot then don't hesitate to apply!

Time for a new freebie

You might have noticed that I changed my banner the other day? Well, with spring upon us I wanted something new and fresh; those fireworks had been here for far too long now. I wanted something light and airy. What better to fit that description than bubbles in the sky?

And then all this fresh air must have gone to my head because I decided to put this design up here for you guys to grab. Yay!

In this freebie you get one 12x12 paper, one .png file with four bubbles, and one .abr brush set with the same four bubbles.

Click right here to download the freebie.
Please remember to read the terms of use included in the zip file. This is for personal use only. Thank you!

The Housewives Collection

My neighbour Madeleine recently started a business selling jewellery and other accessories and asked me to help her create a logo.

The products she is selling are beautiful and she wanted the logo to have the same feel. She wanted something sophisticated and sexy but with an edge and a bit on femininity thrown in the mix. She also wanted a clear nod to Desperate Housewives.

We quickly came up with the basic design and then it was a breeze from there, working on the details. We used black and white as the main colours to set the tone - edgy and sexy, the script font represents the feminine side, the red apple is the only splash of colour, and the shape of the outline is almost like a tag on a bottle of preserves, which is a hint at the housewives name, but without being oldfashioned.

Growing up

This little guy wants to become a zucchini when he grows up

We started the pre season growing in our kitchen windows last week. To date two little plants have come up and I replanted them yesterday. I think they are awfully darling!
