Project 52, celebrating autumn

This post features two  weeks of beautiful autumn inspiration.

We got some new plants for the pot outside of the front door and added a colourful pumpkin. I like how homely and warm it feels.

#43, 2010
The husband celebrated his birthday yesterday with our parents and (some) siblings and we went all out with an autumn theme, both with decorations and food (mmm, pumpkin soup). I really liked doing this one.

I will do a separate post on the table setting but here's another photo of the table.

Have a great week everyone, check back tomorrow as I have new stuff going live in the shop! :D

Birthday party invite

My husband had a birthday last week and we decided, at a very late hour, to have a birthday dinner party for our parents and siblings this coming weekend. I quickly whipped up a little invite and sent it out at the beginning of the week.

I wanted to do classic, sleek, simple so I chose to go with brown and white. I used a paper from my La Storia paper pack and a beautiful image of a pumpkin. The dotted border adds that little extra without overpowering the white space of the design.

I printed it on highly textured cardstock and it came out looking quite fabulous. I wish I had a letterpress in the back of my house but alas I had to make do with the Epson printer.

Oh, and did you know that I have a new brush set in the shop? It was released yesterday for One Buck Wednesday but even if you missed the super low price yesterday you can still pick it up!

OK, so I've got a deadline to meet and a bed to hit, see you soon again, hopefully with party pics and P52 photos!

The state of the Making

What's going on at In the Making nowadays?
I'm currently working on autumn themed birthday party invitations and a christmas themed digi scrap kit. In addition to that I have a bunch of work related photos to edit. So I'm keeping busy! I sometimes wish there were more hours in the day because there are so many things I want to do. :)

I will be able to share the invites within a couple of days and I hope to be able to release the kit in the shop really soon.

In the meantime I am wishing all of you a lovely weekend!

Project 52 weeks 38 to 41

I have let the updates for Project 52 slide for a few weeks, so here we go with four weeks' worth of weekly pictures.

#38, 2010
I was sorting out the last of my summer shoes to put away and thought the collection marked a bit of a sad time of the year for me. I love the colours of autumn but I certainly don't like the fact that it's the start of cold, rainy, windy and miserable months and that always gets me down a little. So I decided to take a picture just to keep that sunny, cheery feeling inside for a little while longer.

#39, 2010
It was the week of the christening of our godchild Elias and I made all the decorations for the party. It was a beautiful day.

#40, 2010
The ultimate proof that the seasons are changing. It's pretty!

#41, 2010
During the business trip this week I had the chance to shoot a few pics at a beautiful location by a lake. I knew when I pressed the button for this one that I would love it.

Only eleven more photos to shoot this year. Wow!

Beautiful CT work

It's time again to look at some of the pretties that our fabulous creative team have created.

Here are two layouts created with the The Story of Template.
Brenda created this one

This beauty is made by Heather

and Chrissy did this one

The thing I love most about templates is that one basic start for a design can take such different routes and be part of completely different style creations.

Make sure to come back tomorrow as I have a new product coming out!

In the Making at FB

I bringing you some fun news today! In the Making is officially (ie finally) on Facebook! Check us out!
And yeah, I suddenly became royal and gained the right to talk about myself as we, LOL!

Obviously it's bare as bones at the moment but I will work hard to pretty it up in the coming days. :)

I would be forever grateful if you would want to hop on over and push that little Like button! Thanks ever so much lovelies!

Shop news

I have added a commercial license option to  my products in my shop at
I was getting quite a few requests for this and was finally able to work the details out with our dear site admin Laurie. She takes such good care of us, I tell you!

I have been forthcoming and added a link to my Terms of Use to every product page should anyone want to read it before purchasing the commercial license.  Please do note that the commercial use does not apply to digital scrapbook designers who want to find designs to use and sell as their own!

In other news I was hit by another major cold so I might be out of comission for a few days or so. Take care of yourselves people.

Cinque Terre - part two

Still plugging away with the Italy photos. Only a little more left, I promise! :D But it's a good way of keeping the spirit of summer alive for me.

OK so this is Monterosso

The water was amazingly clear and beautiful

Vernazza, which was my favourite of the four we visited

We had lunch at a restaurant in the harbour and sat outside. It was just divine. The food (pasta with seafood) and the wine (Vermentino) was just what a girl wants on her birthday.

Celebration continued

Alright, more (including Via del Amore) later
