new in store | flirty

I've got a really vibrant and colourful kit debuting today in my shop at I wanted to create a warm and fun paper pack - something I don't often do - and cooked up a colourful palette with reds, pinks, and oranges. I paired that with classic patterns for that truly modern feel. Of course, these will work perfectly for Valentine projects and layouts but with the classic patterns they will all work wonderfully for projects and layouts the rest of the year as well.

I have paired the papers with a set of journaling cards that match perfectly. The cards are perfect compliments for those of you who do Project Life.

The paper pack and journaling cards are available individually, but if you want to pick up both of them I have also put up the full kit in my shop today.

All three products are 25% off, today only!

p52 | all play and no work

The husband is an avid guitar player. He picked it up just a little over two years ago and has been determined to teach himself to play. Every day he spends some time with "the girls". It's become a normal part of every day life in our house, which means it's only natural that one of the beauties gets to be part of Project 52.

Tomorrow, a giveaway. Don't miss it!

of summer and roses

As the rain/snow is falling outside of my window, I find myself longing for summer with its warmth, its aroma, and its colour. I long for blue skies and ballet flats. I long for sweet raspberries and warm nights. I long for ice cream and pink roses.

How about you?

new in store | Kickin' It

Yay! Time for the next two parts of the Kickin' It collection. I was inspired for a while there when I designed this collection, and cooked up a whole new paper pack as well as an alpha set.

I really want to stress that the papers, elements, and alpha of this collection works really well even if you don't have football/soccer stories to tell of photographs to scrap. Out of the 24 papers in the two packs, only four have patterns that are very much related to football/soccer.

p52 | a new start

Here we are again, starting project 52 all over again. This time for the fourth time. I always feel like it's a whole new world when I get to wrap up the year before and start fresh.

I should have posted the first photo last week, but things came in the way and then I just thought I'd wait until I had this week's photo finished to post. So here we go with the two first weeks of P52, 2012:

My little newphew visited with us last weekend, and he was the natural subject to most of the pictures that were taken during those days. I love the mischievous look on his face. We call this his posing look - he usually pulls it out whenever I take the camera out, right before he starts hamming it up for me.

During a walk in the "park" behind our neighbourhood I discovered this mushroom formation on the surface of a tree stump. In the grey and barren winter landscape this was a colourful change that I really liked.

laying it out | for the love of the game

As I think has been made perfectly clear to most of you who have followed this blog for a while, I really love watching, and keeping up with, football (soccer). I love that this sport can give experiences in every range on the emotional spectrum; from utter bliss to complete desperation, and everything in between. I like the flow of the game and how it can easily change of the course of 90 minutes. And even though I do watch the ladies version, I have to admit that I also like the added bonus of watching fit young men on the pitch. LOL!

Anyway, I thought it was hight time I did a layout about it.

wall decor

The huband and I have been thinking about repainting large parts of our house for a while now. At the moment the entry/kitchen/living room area (which is pretty much the larger part of the house) is painted in a tan/cream colour. Even though it's still nice and in good condition I am lusting for bright and crisp white. The painting is planned to be started, and hopefully finished, in about a week or so.

Now, painting does mean that the saying that I freehanded in our entry when we moved in will have to go. I have so loved having it there so I was quite sad about it in the beginning. At first I thought about redoing it, but then decided to do something new. A while back I saw this gorgeous thing on Pinterest and totally loved it:

We decided to do something like it and I created two different versions, one very similar and one quite different, for the husband to decide between.

This one

and this one

The husband nixed the second one. He thought we would grow tired of it faster, and of course he is right. Plus, it would also cost a lot more to have it made due to all the different fonts used. So right now I am waiting for a hopefully very reasonable quote on the first one. If all goes well, we will be putting it up on our freshly painted entry wall very soon. If not, I might have to get me a Silhouette and do each and every single letter individually if I have to. Plus, owning one of those big boys isn't a bad thing, is it?

newsletter galore

Woohoo! I am so excited to write this post! The other day I decided it was time to start looking into sending out a newsletter every now and then. Said and done, I bravely set out into the interwebs to research how to go about it. Soon I was knee deep in instruction videos, building sign on forms, and designing a decent enough newsletter to send to anyone and everyone interested. Last night, after three hours of wrecking my brain I felt like there were literally no brain cells left in there. I've said it before, and I'll say it again; I am so clearly a right brain kind of girl it's not even funny. But I got there in the end and now I am so happy to say that you can sign up for my newsletter over on the right sidebar! Heck yeah!

It is super easy to sign up (I know, because I actually tried it out) and when you do you will get a letter to your inbox about once a month. I care about your inbox, I know what it's like to be flooded with emails each and every single day, and I would not like to make things worse for you.

Signing up for my newsletter means you get info about new stuff going on right now, exclusive sneak peeks at upcoming goodies, and best of all, exclusive discounts just for you.

I'll see you soon in your inbox!
