project life | week of feb 3

It's a new month, and I get to start over again with a new colour! Yay!
Well, I had this idea that I would do multi colour this month - be all crazy and carefree like that. It did not work. I guess I'm not a carefree kind of person. As if there ever was any question about that. Ha! So I ended up doing favourite repeat, and I kind of love it.

I had a bunch of photos to choose from last week, so many that it was a bit difficult to choose. But that is a good thing. Some weeks I struggle to get even five shots. But that is the beauty of this - I can mix it up and adapt my pages after what happens each week. This week there were 12, next week there might be only 8, and I can still make it work. I love it!

  1. I am just begining to scrap digitally and I'm wondering; what photo frames do you use? I love their sizes and the amount of shadow they have. You make beautiful layouts!

    1. Thank you Anne Marie! :)

The white frames are just another layer behind the photo mask that is filled with white. I have not used a ready made element for those.

As far as shadows go, I alwas use a style set by One Little Bird. They are very easy to use, and she has several different styles for different kinds of elements. On my PL pages I don't mess with them, I just use them as is. You can find her own tutorial and a link to her styles here: http://frickonastick.com/2010/03/shadow-files-the-basics/. (She also has the most gorgeous designs, sold at the Lilypad.

  2. Thank you so much for sharing! I will look up One Little Birds style and learn as much as I can.

I am in love with your PL layouts! I'd lift them all if I could :-) I find it difficult (probably because I am new to this) to be inspired by so many talented people at the same time as I should try to make my own style.
